MarketingRx roundup: HHS' Covid campaign continues as health emergency end nears; Pharmas celebrate Earth Day
The Department of Health and Human Services initially received a broad mandate and $250 million in federal funding back in 2020 for a public health campaign about Covid-19 vaccine development, disease prevention, and, eventually, vaccination pushes. The “We Can Do This” effort rallied across TV, radio, print and social media channels and continues running through today.
HHS’ newest “Can Do” campaign video looks back at the development of Covid vaccines and the first person who received a shot, registered nurse Sandra Lindsay, who speaks with leading Covid vaccine scientist Kizzmekia Corbett. However, the ad is more than a push for public health. The two public health advocates also talk about becoming well-known through the pandemic and becoming symbols for science and scientific development for young people.
