Mar­ket­ingRx roundup: Phar­mas dou­ble down on re­new­able en­er­gy; Bay­er funds health eq­ui­ty re­search

At COP28 in Dubai on Mon­day, Schnei­der Elec­tric an­nounced a new co­hort of phar­ma com­pa­nies join­ing its now 2-year-old “En­er­gize” re­new­able en­er­gy pro­gram specif­i­cal­ly for life sci­ence com­pa­nies. New spon­sors in­clud­ing Boehringer In­gel­heim, Charles Riv­er, Roche, Mer­ck KgAA and Ha­le­on round out the now 20 com­pa­nies in five pow­er pur­chas­ing buy­ing groups across the EU, UK and North Amer­i­ca.

The newest mem­bers join the 10 found­ing phar­mas — As­traZeneca, Bio­gen, GSK, John­son & John­son, Mer­ck/MSD, No­var­tis, No­vo Nordisk, Pfiz­er, Sanofi and Take­da — in work­ing to­geth­er to tran­si­tion their sup­ply chains to re­new­able en­er­gy sources.
