More than 100 House and Sen­ate Re­pub­li­cans call on new FDA com­mish to re­verse or­der on mail-or­der abor­tion pills

As the con­ser­v­a­tive-lean­ing ma­jor­i­ty on the Supreme Court is wide­ly ex­pect­ed to roll back abor­tions na­tion­wide, Re­pub­li­can sen­a­tors Kevin Cramer of North Dako­ta joined Cindy Hyde-Smith of Mis­sis­sip­pi and more than 120 oth­er House and Sen­ate col­leagues to de­mand that new­ly mint­ed FDA com­mis­sion­er Rob Califf re­store more strin­gent over­sight of abor­tion pills as the agency per­ma­nent­ly lift­ed in-per­son dis­pens­ing re­quire­ments in De­cem­ber.
