Eli Lil­ly backs women’s health group­s' cam­paign to spur obe­si­ty treat­ment cov­er­age

A new cam­paign is ad­vo­cat­ing for bet­ter obe­si­ty care cov­er­age, es­pe­cial­ly for women, and it’s backed by Eli Lil­ly fund­ing.

The Al­liance for Women’s Health and Pre­ven­tion (AWHP) is bring­ing to­geth­er 10 part­ners for the “Every­BODY Cov­ered” ef­fort to en­cour­age women to ask em­ploy­ers, in­sur­ers and leg­is­la­tors to cov­er obe­si­ty care, es­pe­cial­ly med­ica­tions. Lil­ly is a mem­ber of AWHP’s cor­po­rate round­table and pro­vid­ed ini­tial fund­ing for the cam­paign, a Lil­ly spokesper­son said in an email to End­points News.
