Novartis' discovery team hires Genentech vet Shiva Malek to lead early-stage oncology work
A longtime discovery researcher at Genentech has jumped ship to run Novartis’ early-stage oncology work.
Shiva Malek, who had worked at the Roche-owned company for the last 15 years, is now in charge of the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research’s oncology department, a Novartis spokesperson told Endpoints News in an email. Run by Jay Bradner, NIBR is Novartis’ primary in-house discovery engine.
