No­var­tis is chop­ping 400 jobs in In­dia af­ter strik­ing new dis­tri­b­u­tion pact

No­var­tis has been fo­cused on grow­ing its op­er­a­tions in In­dia, with new re­search and man­u­fac­tur­ing ad­di­tions. Now, it’s in the process of cut­ting ties with around 400 staffers in the sub­con­ti­nent af­ter strik­ing a new sales and dis­tri­b­u­tion deal for some of its es­tab­lished med­i­cines.

The phar­ma gi­ant put out word on Fri­day that it has forged a new deal with Dr. Red­dy’s cov­er­ing the “Vover­an range, the Cal­ci­um range and Methergine.”
