On heels of Essex deal, CRO Emmes says it's planning to make more acquisitions this year
Emmes, a contract research organization that recently acquired Essex Management, said it has plans to make more “medium to larger scale deals” in Europe and Latin America over the next two years.
In March, the Rockville, MD-based company acquired Essex, a provider of bioinformatics and health information tech to government, private sector and academic organizations. The companies already share some of the same customers, including the National Cancer Institute and other agencies within the National Institutes of Health. It was Emmes’ sixth deal in two years.
