Over 200 critical medicines to be monitored for shortages in the EU
More than 200 medicines at risk of shortages in the EU have been listed as critical by the European Commission, the Heads of Medicines Agencies and the EMA.
The listed medicines are not necessarily going to be in shortage in the near future but should be prevented from running out, “as a shortage could cause significant harm to patients and pose important challenges to health systems,” Tuesday’s release said.
