Pfiz­er and BioN­Tech 'ready to ship' up­dat­ed Covid-19 vac­cine in EU on heels of CHMP rec­om­men­da­tion

Pfiz­er and BioN­Tech are ready to ship their lat­est up­dat­ed Covid-19 vac­cine through­out the EU — all they need is a nod from the Eu­ro­pean Com­mis­sion.

The Eu­ro­pean Med­i­cines Agency’s Com­mit­tee for Med­i­c­i­nal Prod­ucts for Hu­man Use (CHMP) has is­sued a pos­i­tive rec­om­men­da­tion for the shot, sig­nal­ing a like­ly au­tho­riza­tion by the EC. If that hap­pens, the part­ners said Wednes­day that they’ll be ready to ship dos­es “im­me­di­ate­ly.”
