Pfizer and BioNTech resolve mRNA patent lawsuit filed by Promosome
Promosome, Pfizer and BioNTech told a California federal judge that they have agreed to resolve Promosome’s lawsuit accusing the two companies of violating a patent issued to its mRNA technology almost a decade ago.
Moderna, Pfizer and BioNTech were sued in June by Promosome, which claimed that the three companies violated its patent with their vaccines. “The sequence underlying defendants’ Covid-19 vaccine tells a clear story: defendants used the method of the ’179 Patent in their Covid-19 vaccine,” the small, private company alleged in the suit.
