Pfiz­er cuts jobs at Boul­der, CO, re­search fa­cil­i­ty

Pfiz­er is con­duct­ing lay­offs at its Boul­der, CO re­search fa­cil­i­ty, months af­ter an­nounc­ing a re­treat from a sig­nif­i­cant chunk of its ear­ly-stage re­search.

The per­ma­nent sep­a­ra­tions will oc­cur on Dec. 4, though Pfiz­er has not dis­closed an ex­act num­ber, ac­cord­ing to Col­orado’s WARN sys­tem. A com­pa­ny spokesper­son de­clined to pro­vide ad­di­tion­al in­for­ma­tion on the num­ber of lay­offs and units af­fect­ed. Some re­search pro­grams will be tran­si­tioned to oth­er fa­cil­i­ties as part of the re­struc­tur­ing, ac­cord­ing to the spokesper­son.
