Pharma reps are back in doctor's office waiting room, but are still keeping the digital sales tools adopted during the pandemic.

Phar­ma reps re­turn to doc­tors' of­fices, but dig­i­tal chan­nels re­main im­por­tant, new da­ta show

When the pan­dem­ic slammed the door on phar­ma sales reps, the big ques­tion was if they’d be able to get back in. Af­ter all, field reps’ ac­cess to physi­cians in their of­fices had been on the de­cline for years.

The good news is the an­swer is yes, most­ly. In the past six to nine months of physi­cians’ of­fices be­ing open, more than 70% of sales rep in­ter­ac­tions are back to in-per­son, while about 30% re­main dig­i­tal, ac­cord­ing to da­ta from Vee­va’s quar­ter­ly field trend re­port out Wednes­day.
