Prothena hopes to raise $180M after Eisai Alzheimer's data prompted stock surge
Dublin-based Prothena has opened up 3 million of its common shares via an underwritten public offering, trading under the ticker $PRTA. Underwriters get 30 days to grab another 15% of the number of shares sold.
That’s a $180 million raise as of today, with Prothena’s stock trading at $60 per share, although the company said in a press release there is no assurance as to the actual size or terms of the offering and when it will be completed.
