Pushing back against Eli Lilly motion, federal judge sends years-long whistleblower case to trial
In the latest development of a years-long legal saga, Eli Lilly is going to trial.
District Court Judge Harry Leinenweber signed an order denying Eli Lilly’s motion to dismiss a court case from whistleblower Ronald Streck on behalf of the federal government.
The case, originally filed in the US District Court for Northern Illinois, will now go before a jury, which will have to decide whether Lilly’s actions were intentional and if the Big Pharma caused the government and certain state Medicaid agencies to lose money.
