Sanofi changes up menin­gi­tis cam­paign — and celeb am­bas­sadors — to re­flect shift in vac­ci­na­tion gap

When Sanofi launched its “16 Vac­cine” cam­paign sev­er­al years ago, it want­ed to ad­dress the lag in menin­gi­tis boost­er shots that was hap­pen­ing around age 16. How­ev­er, the pan­dem­ic shift­ed the menin­gi­tis vac­ci­na­tion gap.

Now in­stead of a lag in get­ting the boost­er shot, ini­tial vac­ci­na­tions for menin­gi­tis rec­om­mend­ed at ages 11-12 aren’t hap­pen­ing as of­ten. So Sanofi is chang­ing tack — and celebri­ty spokes­peo­ple.
