‘Watch this evolve’: Sanofi con­tin­ues to talk up its R&D bet as Paul Hud­son wel­comes new CFO

As Sanofi CEO Paul Hud­son em­barks on a two-year mis­sion to cut and re­al­lo­cate up to €2 bil­lion ($2.16 bil­lion) in costs, he will be lean­ing on a new chief fi­nan­cial of­fi­cer.

Jean-Bap­tiste Chas­seloup de Chatil­lon is step­ping down af­ter five years. Re­plac­ing him as CFO be­gin­ning on April 1 will be François-Xavier Roger, the for­mer CFO of Take­da who spent the past eight years at Nestlé. Ac­cord­ing to Sanofi, de Chatil­lon is leav­ing to take up char­i­ty work full-time as the head of an ado­les­cent-fo­cused foun­da­tion named Ap­pren­tis d’Au­teuil.
