Sanofi is expanding at light speed abroad, but it's leaving behind a Pennsylvania plant and its 75 employees
As Sanofi has announced monster additions to its manufacturing capabilities outside of the US in the past few weeks, it is shuttering operations at a Pennsylvania plant.
The company will close its Great Valley plant in Malvern, roughly 25 miles outside of Philadelphia. A Sanofi spokesperson said the closure was tied to shifting priorities in Sanofi’s portfolio, and the site will close by the end of September. The plant focuses on the packaging and distribution of clinical supply, and the closure is set to affect 75 employees.
