Scoop: Am­gen re­cruits renowned can­cer drug in­ves­ti­ga­tor Jean-Charles So­ria to lead a grow­ing pipeline play

One of the pi­o­neers in the com­plete over­haul of on­col­o­gy R&D over the last 10 years is head­ed to Am­gen.

The phar­ma gi­ant put out the word on so­cial me­dia that Jean-Charles So­ria, the di­rec­tor gen­er­al of the sto­ried Gus­tave Roussy In­sti­tute in France, is join­ing LA-based Am­gen to lead the on­col­o­gy ther­a­peu­tic area as se­nior vice pres­i­dent.

So­ria, who al­so held a top on­col­o­gy post with As­traZeneca be­fore re­turn­ing to the in­sti­tute at the be­gin­ning of 2020, tells us via email that he is “deeply ex­cit­ed” to be join­ing the com­pa­ny.
