Scoop: Star neu­ro­sci­en­tist Asa Abe­liovich and Or­biMed are team­ing on yet an­oth­er biotech

It’s been bare­ly a year since Eli Lil­ly bought his sec­ond com­pa­ny, Pre­vail Ther­a­peu­tics, for $1 bil­lion, but star Co­lum­bia neu­ro­sci­en­tist Asa Abe­liovich is al­ready launch­ing some­thing new.

Two jobs were post­ed on LinkedIn last week for Leal Ther­a­peu­tics, each re­cruit­ing sci­en­tists to a “CNS-fo­cused biotech start-up work­ing to de­vel­op a pipeline of nov­el, ul­tra-pre­cise ther­a­peu­tics for ma­jor CNS in­di­ca­tions with ur­gent un­met needs.”
