Senate Finance Committee seeks to advance bipartisan PBM reforms alongside other health bills

Senate Finance Committee Chair Ron Wyden (D-OR) and ranking member Mike Crapo (R-ID) released draft legislation on Thursday that seeks to reduce prescription drug costs for seniors, and that will be included in a new package of bills including pharmacy benefit manager reforms.

The lawmakers say they’ll advance these legislative proposals, in addition to PBM reforms previously passed by the committee in July, and pursue full Senate passage and enactment. The committee plans to hold a markup of this latest bill next Wednesday, Nov. 8.
