Ther­mo Fish­er down­sized by 8,000 work­ers in 2023 amid rev­enue de­cline  

Ther­mo Fish­er’s work­force dropped by 8,000 em­ploy­ees over the past year, from 130,000 staffers at the end of 2022 to 122,000 in De­cem­ber last year.

Much of the drop was in the Amer­i­c­as, with the con­glom­er­ate not­ing it em­ployed 67,000 work­ers there in 2022 ver­sus 61,000 at the end of 2023, ac­cord­ing to its 10-K fil­ings on those re­spec­tive years. There was a 1,000-work­er drop in Eu­rope, the Mid­dle East and Africa, from 42,000 in 2022 to 41,000 last year. There was al­so a 1,000-em­ploy­ee dif­fer­ence in the Asia-Pa­cif­ic re­gion, with 21,000 in 2022 to 20,000 last year. Ther­mo Fish­er did not re­spond to End­points News in time for pub­li­ca­tion.
