Ther­mo Fish­er mulls Irish site ex­it; Alvotech’s new Form 483; Catal­ent as­sists with We­govy man­u­fac­tur­ing

Ther­mo Fish­er is re­view­ing op­er­a­tions at its Athlone, Ire­land, fa­cil­i­ty. Clo­sure could hap­pen over the next two years and, if it does shut down, it would af­fect the site’s de­pot op­er­a­tions and pos­si­bly up to 60 em­ploy­ees, a spokesper­son told End­points in an email. “We are in the ear­ly stages of a con­sul­ta­tion process with the col­leagues whose roles may be af­fect­ed this year,” the spokesper­son added. The site was pre­vi­ous­ly owned by PPD be­fore the CRO was pur­chased by Ther­mo Fish­er in 2021.
