TikTok takes down accounts for weight loss influencers who discussed Wegovy, Mounjaro
Some weight loss influencers on TikTok have been banned after talking about GLP-1 medications including Novo Nordisk’s Wegovy and Ozempic and Eli Lilly’s Mounjaro.
About 60 influencers, including a handful of physicians, woke up on July 5 to find their TikTok accounts had disappeared. Left instead was a notice from TikTok telling them their accounts were “permanently banned” for violating its community guidelines.
