Two years af­ter step­ping down amidst house ar­rest, Frank Zhang is back as Leg­end chair

Near­ly two years af­ter his ar­rest as part of a smug­gling in­ves­ti­ga­tion, Frank Zhang is back in the game.

Zhang, the founder and for­mer CEO of Gen­Script Biotech, has been ap­point­ed as a di­rec­tor of Leg­end Biotech, Gen­Script’s CAR-T sub­sidiary, which he found­ed in 2014. He pre­vi­ous­ly served as its CEO but de­cid­ed to step down from the role dur­ing the on­go­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tion. Charges against Zhang were dropped ear­li­er this year, and he had pre­vi­ous­ly re­turned to a non-ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor role at Gen­Script.
