Unit­ed­Health­care thinks the fu­ture of em­ploy­er in­sur­ance in­cludes a no-de­ductible, no-coin­sur­ance plan op­tion

Amer­i­cans are on the hook for more of their health­care ex­pens­es than ever be­fore.

In the past few years, rough­ly 30% of all em­ploy­ees have been en­rolled in high-de­ductible health plans, up from 20% a decade ago, ac­cord­ing to KFF. Pre­mi­ums, mean­while, in­creased by 7% in 2023 for em­ploy­er-spon­sored health plans, a main way Amer­i­cans get in­sur­ance cov­er­age.
