VC dol­lars keep rolling in as Qim­ing ties a rib­bon on $2.5B Fund VI­II

Qim­ing Ven­ture Part­ners’ deep pock­ets just got even deep­er.

Al­most two years af­ter clos­ing its sev­enth fund, the sto­ried Chi­nese VC firm has hit $2.5 bil­lion for Fund VI­II, with a main fund cov­er­ing both tech­nol­o­gy and con­sumer and health­care in­vest­ments, as well as a par­al­lel fund spe­cial­iz­ing in health­care.

Con­cur­rent­ly, Qim­ing al­so an­nounced a first close for its RMB Fund VII at about $700 mil­lion.
