'We beat big pharma': Biden applauds IRA, calls for expansion of Medicare negotiations
President Joe Biden renewed his proposal to expand drug price negotiations under the Inflation Reduction Act on Wednesday, arguing that “we should be more aggressive.”
In remarks at the White House, the president touted the IRA as a win against “big pharma” and congressional Republicans who voted unanimously against the legislation. He also applauded increased FTC scrutiny of “abusive patent listings for inhalers and other common products like EpiPens,” and promised to “make Roe v. Wade the law of the land again.”
