
Updated: Wellington puts a bow on new $476M private biotech fund
Wellington Management has a boatload of new cash to play with after closing its second biotech-focused fund.
The firm put together a fund of about $476 million called Biomedical Innovation II, it announced Thursday morning in a press release, about three and a half years after closing its first fund. Wellington plans to make about 25 to 30 investments with the fund, I-Hung Shih, the firm’s co-head of biotech private investments, told Endpoints News on Thursday.
