Why a Medtronic exec thinks a convergence of med tech and consumer tech is coming

Medtronic is getting ready for a world where the healthcare products it’s known for intersect with consumer technologies that are pushing further into the medical space.
Already, more care is shifting from hospitals into the home, driven in part by the pandemic, which created a push to discharge patients earlier and led to more monitoring at home. Frank Chan, the president of the acute care and monitoring division at Medtronic, told Endpoints News he doesn’t expect that to change.
