With FDA nods and third-shot OKs, Mod­er­na and Pfiz­er boost vac­cine ads – and boost­er mes­sages

Now that both the Mod­er­na and Pfiz­er-BioN­Tech Covid vac­cines are FDA-ap­proved, each al­so has the go-ahead to ad­ver­tise their shots. While the fo­cus was ini­tial­ly on sim­ply en­cour­ag­ing vac­ci­na­tions, Mod­er­na and Pfiz­er now al­so have an eye on the po­ten­tial­ly huge boost­er shot mar­ket in the US.

Both com­pa­nies are ex­pect­ed to make bil­lions in boost­er sales, but with the mix-and-match ap­proach OK’d by the FDA and a choice of ei­ther boost­er shot, mar­ket­ing may work to con­vince con­sumers one way or the oth­er.
