A new Sen­ate bill is filled with calls for bet­ter pre­pared­ness for pan­demics go­ing for­ward

US politi­cians don’t want to see a re­peat of what hap­pened through­out the coun­try when the Covid-19 pan­dem­ic broke out. And to do some­thing about that, the Sen­ate Com­mit­tee on Health, Ed­u­ca­tion, La­bor and Pen­sions has filed a bill full of di­rec­tions for drug man­u­fac­tur­ers.

Load­ing up on the na­tion­al stock­pile, in­creas­ing ac­cess to new meth­ods of man­u­fac­tur­ing and evening the play­ing field — all this was high­light­ed as vi­tal pieces to get­ting out in front of the next pan­dem­ic.
