Abortion pill can't just 'snap back' to pre-2016, FDA's Woodcock tells SCOTUS
Returning to a 2016 label for the abortion pill mifepristone — a move sought by a federal appeals court last week — would “create significant chaos” and take at least months to implement, the FDA explained to the Supreme Court in a filing late Friday.
The comments follow the Supreme Court’s decision late Friday to temporarily pause a controversial Texas court’s ruling — until midnight Thursday — that would rescind the approval of mifepristone.
