As UK awaits first Covid-19 vac­cine dos­es, Fau­ci and oth­ers crit­i­cize its 'hasty' de­ci­sion

A day af­ter the UK made his­to­ry by au­tho­riz­ing Pfiz­er and BioN­Tech’s Covid-19 vac­cine, NI­AID chief An­tho­ny Fau­ci joined oth­ers in the EU in scru­ti­niz­ing the coun­try’s swift de­ci­sion.

“The way the FDA is, our FDA, is do­ing it is the cor­rect way,” Fau­ci said in a Fox News in­ter­view. “We re­al­ly scru­ti­nize the da­ta very care­ful­ly to guar­an­tee to the Amer­i­can pub­lic that this is a safe and ef­fi­ca­cious vac­cine.”
