Biotech fraud in ski town saga winds down as ex-president sentenced to 18 months in prison

The former president of the Jay Peak resort, a ski resort in northern Vermont and only a stone’s throw away from the Canadian border, has been sentenced 8 months after pleading guilty.

Bill Stenger, who had been president of the resort for more than 3 decades, was prosecuted over the last two years for his role in conning investors out of millions based on fake plans for a massive biomedical facility in Newport, VT, about 20 miles from the famous ski resort.
