Covid-19 manufacturing roundup: Construction underway on Morocco's $562M vaccine plant; Argentina begins Sputnik production
The vaccine manufacturing site worth a half-a-billion dollars set to go up in Morocco is now under construction.
Sensyo Pharmatech’s site worth $562 million in Benslimane was inaugurated at the end of January in a ceremony attended by King Mohammed VI. The fill-finish site is a joint collaboration between the Moroccan government, which is covering the entire cost of the plan, and Swedish pharma Recipharm. The site is intended to build up mRNA vaccine capacity in the country over the next five years, and end reliance on imported vaccines.
