
Moncef Slaoui offers his 'deep regret' over sexual harassment charge — while getting the boot from biotech posts
At the end of a long day that started with a brutal slapdown by GlaxoSmithKline CEO Emma Walmsley over a case of sexual harassment, Moncef Slaoui has responded with an abject apology to all involved, including the staffer who leveled charges against him as well as all his longtime colleagues in the business.
As part of his apology, Slaoui says that he’s stepping away from all of his current positions in the industry. But after GSK booted him from the board chairman’s role at Galvani, he was swiftly fired from the chairman’s role he held at Vaxcyte. And news followed soon after that Slaoui also lost his role as CSO/advisor of Centessa, the big new startup out of Medicxi.
