San­drock’s first month at Voy­ager sours as shares crum­ble on Levin, Paul’s move to step off the board

Voy­ager Ther­a­peu­tics was able to poach Al San­drock out of his very, very brief re­tire­ment from Bio­gen to right its wa­ver­ing gene ther­a­py ship af­ter a rocky first nine years. But a month in­to his jour­ney, two of San­drock’s fel­low board mem­bers don’t want to be re­elect­ed.

One of those is Voy­ager’s own co-founder and for­mer CEO Steven Paul. The oth­er is Mark Levin, the Mil­len­ni­um co-founder and an orig­i­nal mem­ber of Third Rock Ven­tures, the VC firm that launched Voy­ager in 2013.
