
Laurence Reid returns as CEO of Decibel Therapeutics — as Steve Holtzman retires
Two Octobers ago, Revolution Medicines bought Warp Drive Bio and the company Laurence Reid built up for 3-plus years was gone. Reid, ever the 21st-century businessman, went to LinkedIn and announced his new position: “Learning to sail.”
Other duties included “learning to do good,” and “traveling.” The company – “none” – was based, like Reid, in Cambridge, MA.
“I think we all take ourselves a little too seriously,” Reid told Endpoints News. “And I was lucky enough to have a few months off outside biotech, and focus on family and other things.”
