MarketingRx Matchup: Is it Novo Nordisk’s Ozempic or Lilly and BI’s Jardiance for the win in Type 2 ads?
While it’s not quite time for March Madness yet, we’re warming up this week with some MarketingRx’s advertising madness.
This month’s DTC matchup gauges consumers’ opinions of two Type 2 diabetes TV ads — one from Novo Nordisk’s Ozempic and the other from Eli Lilly and Boehringer Ingelheim’s co-marketed Jardiance.
Both the Ozempic ad and the Jardiance ad began running in January, although both are also part of long-running campaigns. The Ozempic campaign with its hallmark “Oh Oh Oh Ozempic” jingle initially launched in 2018, while Jardiance’s “On It” theme began in 2019.
