Mer­ck KGaA's French af­fil­i­ate in­dict­ed over in­ves­ti­ga­tion in­to re­for­mu­la­tion case

Last March, the top court in France or­dered Ger­many-based Mer­ck KGaA to pay out more than $3.6 mil­lion to more than 3,000 peo­ple to set­tle a long-run­ning dis­pute over the re­for­mu­la­tion of its hy­pothy­roidism drug.

As of to­day, that on­go­ing ju­di­cial in­ves­ti­ga­tion has been height­ened. Mer­ck KGaA spokesper­son Con­stance de Quin­sonas con­firmed to End­points News via email that a judge in Mar­seille “has de­cid­ed to in­dict Mer­ck’s French af­fil­i­ate,” adding:
