News brief­ing: Tri­al soft­ware firm ERT merges with imag­ing com­pa­ny Bio­clin­i­ca; Ab­Cellera bumps IPO range

ERT, an en­ter­prise soft­ware and con­sult­ing firm that sells plat­forms to run el­e­ments of clin­i­cal tri­als, has bought a new com­pa­ny in or­der to boost its imag­ing ca­pa­bil­i­ties.

The busi­ness is ac­quir­ing Bio­clin­i­ca for an undis­closed sum, giv­ing ERT, or eRe­searchTech­nol­o­gy, what it says is the most com­pre­hen­sive end­point da­ta col­lec­tion port­fo­lio. With Bio­clin­i­ca’s imag­ing tech­nol­o­gy in the fold, ERT can fur­ther fo­cus on its da­ta an­a­lyt­ics, vir­tu­al pa­tient vis­its and hy­brid tech­no­log­i­cal pro­grams, among oth­er things.
