Phar­ma brands dom­i­nate ‘new’ TV com­mer­cial list for first half of 2023, ad track­er re­ports

Up-and-com­ing brands from Ab­b­Vie, Bris­tol My­ers Squibb and Eli Lil­ly got a lot of net­work TV air­time in the first half of 2023. Com­mer­cials for Skyrizi for two in­di­ca­tions, So­tyk­tu and Moun­jaro ranked in the top 10 for most-viewed, first-time TV cam­paigns in re­al­time ad track­er iS­pot.tv’s first-half re­port.

Ab­b­Vie’s Skyrizi for Crohn’s, with a roller coast­er-themed ad and the re­minder that “Con­trol means every­thing,” was sec­ond on iS­pot’s list with more than 6 bil­lion im­pres­sions. Bris­tol My­ers’ new­ly ap­proved So­tyk­tu to treat pso­ri­a­sis ranked in third place, with two TV spots de­but­ing dur­ing the six months — one launched in Feb­ru­ary dur­ing the Gram­my Awards and an­oth­er in May — with 4.3 bil­lion im­pres­sions.
