Most people don’t like going to the doctor — so they just don’t. In the US, 44% of people only go to the doctor when they’re sick, according to ZS’ latest research.

Forty-five percent of Americans skip regular health screenings and 30% don’t even have a primary care physician. Meanwhile, a majority admit they consult “Dr. Google” before an actual doctor. While that all may sound like a physician’s office problem, it’s actually a signal that the entire industry, including pharma, will need to make changes, said ZS managing partner Maria Whitman.
