Seagen CEO Clay Sie­gall hauls in more than most Eu­ro­pean coun­ter­parts and Mod­er­na's Ban­cel

Seagen was mum on the fi­nan­cial de­tails of its ADC on­col­o­gy col­lab with Sanofi last month, but we do know how much the four-med bio­phar­ma’s CEO made last year.

As sales jumped 38% year-over-year in 2021, Clay Sie­gall’s pay climbed 12.76%, ac­cord­ing to the Seat­tle biotech’s SEC fil­ing. The CEO and pres­i­dent’s to­tal com­pen­sa­tion rose from $16.5 mil­lion in 2020 to $18.9 mil­lion in 2021. Last year’s fig­ure puts him slight­ly above 2018’s $18.1 mil­lion check, earn­ing the sixth spot of top-paid biotech CEOs that year.
