Sen. Rand Paul reveals his wife bought Gilead stock in February 2020 — 16 months after filing deadline
Sen. Rand Paul, a prominent Covid-19 skeptic who’s sparred with President Biden’s top medical advisor Anthony Fauci, revealed Wednesday that his wife invested in remdesivir developer Gilead back in February 2020.
The investment, disclosed in Paul’s annual financial disclosure report on Wednesday, came close to 16 months after the 45-day reporting deadline allowed under the 2012 Stock Act. Per the filing, Kelley Paul bought between $1,000 to $15,000 worth of Gilead shares on Feb. 26, 2020, and made between $201 – $1,000 from the investment.
