Sofinno­va Part­ners out­lines Eu­ro­pean in­vest­ment strat­e­gy: The ven­ture cap­i­tal firm aims to launch and ac­cel­er­ate biotech star­tups in Eu­rope us­ing a sim­i­lar mod­el to Biove­locI­TA, Italy’s first biotech ac­cel­er­a­tor. As part of the so-called Biove­loci­ta strat­e­gy, Sofinno­va is part­ner­ing with the Gus­tave Roussy can­cer cen­ter in Ville­juif, France, to sup­port star­tups that come out of the hos­pi­tal’s re­search. — Jaimy Lee
